Why do I need to wear a retainer?
Simply put, teeth have a memory and naturally want to drift back to where they used to be. This normal process is called relapse. We provide custom retainers designed specifically for you to help lock in your alignment, so you can focus on showing off your smile.
What happens if I forget my retainer?
If you stop wearing your retainer, your teeth might start to shift. Even a little movement changes how your bite feels. If your retainer feels tight or gets lost, let us know right away. We usually provide a backup clear retainer at the end of your Invisalign® Treatment.
How often should I get a new retainer?
It depends on how well you care for it. We use durable materials, but they can wear down over time. If your retainer cracks, warps, or stops fitting comfortably, it’s time for a new one. Just give us a call, and we will get your replacement ready.
